Baguio-Aritao Road Improvement Project Contract Package 2, Pangawan-Kayapa-Aritao Section under the Cordillera Road Improvement Project is another financially assisted by Japan Bank for International Cooperation and implemented by the Project Management Office and owned by the Department of Public Works and Highways.
It’s PCCP has a total length of 35.616km, construction of Pingkian Bridge with bored pile and improvement/replacement of six (6) more bridges.
The concept of this road is it will be the shortest alternative route for traffic movement between the provinces of Isabela, Quirino and Nueva Vizcaya in east and the provinces of Benguet, La Union and Ilocos Sur in the west.
While the overall objective is top improve the Baguio-Aritao to provide an all weather access road and in order to support the growth of rural economics and social development in the region.
Contract satisfactorily completed last 9 January 2007.
